But of course UPS, FedEx etc. won't accept a PO Box address.
Yeah, I worked in shipping. Every now and then, someone would order something delivered to a PO Box with either UPS or FedEx as the carrier. We'd find this out at the end of the day when the order was done. Send order to customer service. CS has to call customer and they don't answer, leave a message, etc. Now the customer is upset because their order is late. They want to cancel or for it to be discounted or free or for us to eat the expedited shipping, because they didn't read the large type.

Not fine print. We had the information, "UPS and FedEx will not deliver to PO Boxes" in large type.

I wish everyone said it. Most don’t. I usually email ahead of time and ask which carrier they plan to use.
Amazon is the one that catches me out. If shipped by Amazon they come to the house. If shipped directly from the seller then it is anyone’s guess.

Our tiny town is rampant with mis-deliveries, via all services, I see lots of rants and complaints on the local FB pages, mostly about the local PO people. I don't order stuff anymore so haven't had a problem. Had a great mail deliverer out here in the township for years, she was a neighbor. After she retired things went downhill, harder to get good new carriers and they went thru some real losers.

8° here, but the winds died down to nothing, so that helped me get the inch or so of snow off the path and part of the run. My fingertips were really hurting by the time I got done with chores tho. Just enough snow once the wind quit to coat all the tree bones, looks pretty pretty. Warmer temps start in a couple days.

Hello, Cafe’

We have an “extreme cold weather warning” today. School is 2 hours late, but I’ll be missing the whole day. One of the viruses has caught up with me. Not fever, but a cough and plugged sinuses, feeling exhausted. Fortunately, I didn’t get sick while we were with the grandsons over the weekend.

We also have a flock of turkeys that come visit our yard. About 45 of them, including this one:

Good morning and thanks for the hot coffee! It is 24F and sunny.
We are above the cold air on the plains and they have 9F and snow.
I am 2621.28 meters up in elevation so my climate is always different.
We have turkeys here but they cruise through and don't stay. I am not setting out feed for them! They would bring in the bobcat...

The sourdough noodles were good! No weird taste. It is supposed to be healthier and less irritating on the system.
Have fun and be safe, Cafe!

Where I worked in shipping, I think the customer decided how they wanted the package delivered, up to a certain size, then postal was not an option. One woman would only pick UPS, because FedEx would not deliver to her house.

We had one customer that we had to handwrite the address and it had "across from White's Armature" in it. Otherwise it would not get there.

I do not miss my job at all. Not a bit.
