We did something different this year. We planted most of our garden in our hoop house and we planted grafted tomato plants from Johnny Seeds. The tomato plants were amazing. The chickens were in the greenhouse all winter. I am sure their manure helped. :)
Has anyone done this but on a smaller single bed size? I'm wondering if I can cover my bed and get tomatoes and sweet peppers over winter?

I got a paper White ziva for Christmas. In the past couple days it has been growing like crazy! 2.5 inches a day. I checked on it, came back an hour later, and it had bloomed! Just thought I would share some pictures.

I had to attach a stick to it because it was falling over.

Thats pretty. What zone are you in? If the winters aren't super cold I believe you could put those out side. Everyone has them outside here. This is a patch thats been growing wild for the last couple years

I'll be digging them up when they die back

I think I am in zone 6. Right now it is 19 degrees, and that is warm. The ground is also covered with 5 inches of snow. However, once it starts warming up, I am planning on planting them outside, so they can come up each spring. :)
