Dickinson pumpkin . The variety used by the canning factories here in Illinois .
cucumbers for seed . 2 Suyo long and a straight eight . The straight eight is 12 inches .
2 of my F2 gourd x zucchini . Reason for these is squash bores kill my summer squash but leave my gourds alone . So far they have left the F1 alone last year and no damage on these yet . My summer squash are all dead . We will make zucchini bread tomorrow . Got to use them before the shell gets hard .

Yeah, the corn is 5 ft. tall with no husks...any ideas why?

Has it tasseled yet? I've had the opposite problem, mine gets 2 to 2 1/2 and tassels. The one batch that didn't do that got to about 5 1/2 and tasseled, hit nearly 8 or 9 ft tall when it stopped growing. (And my dad says sweet corn doesn't really get over 6 1/2 ft tall, haha)

Our cucumbers, bush beans, onions, and tomatoes are all ripening up right about now. We might do a big harvest and pickling day here soon! We've already got so many beans that we've filled two huge containers full of them.

'Course, we would've had more if our chickens didn't like to eat everything in sight. Oh well, at least they're happy!
