That's awesome! I have some chinquapin chestnut saplings. We also got a hazelnut and a chestnut tree already on the property. Monster-in-law owns the store and apartmnt we live in and the surrounding land (acre of property in all) so I've got Golden Bantam corn, cornichons, and all kinds of veggies going. I'm hoping to get some wild European strawberries going and some herbs going too.
Raining here too. Oh those are kinda small, though my tallest peach is only about 7-8 feet tall and that's the one I started from seed, my plums are about at 8-9 feet and my apples (aside from the ones my dad put in about 10 years ago) are about eight or nine feet. (My plums and apples were put in three years ago) I "might" be able to give you some cuttings but it's a pretty iffy might. :/Dan it is still raining but I stood on the front and back porch and zoomed in. These are not good pics from the zoom but it will give you an idea of the size.small apple tree
good apple tree
small peach this also should have been a fruit cocktail and has not grown much in 4 1/2 yrs either.
plum that should have been a fruit cocktail it is abt. 10' but is not developing much it is 4 1/2 yrs. old. I fertilize them all three times a year. *would anyone possibly feel like offering some cuttings to graft onto either the peach or plum trees this fall?*

Quote: We got quite a bit of rain it took awhile to soak in due to all the recent rain. I could not even go out yesterday to tend the birds it was raining to much and I am having trouble walking. DH went out when he got home. All the eggs are muddy and we will have to wash them all.
We only have Marvin's hardware and two Farmers Co-ops and TSC around here that will sell fruit trees. But they won't water them or take care of them and they die! I tried getting another hardware store an hour away to order some fruit trees for me, but they only got out Apple and one pear tree in. Nearly every fruit tree I buy online die. I ordered several Cherry's but finally got two to live. They are bush cherry's! I got them off of Ebay! lol
