My apple crop REALLY picked up after I pounded Miracle-Grow fruit tree stakes into the ground right before Spring.

I don't have a fertilizing problem (Got plenty of aged chicken manure) What I have is pollination and chill hours problems. Not the easiest thing to grow in zone 8a.

Yeah. Pollination being my biggest problem. Never heard of one. We did get some apples a few years ago so I know it is possible. Boy were those some good apples!

I bought gold coloured gift bags and put them on the fig tree today. There were not a lot but I am trying them out so if they work, well I'll get some more. Now I just need to wait and see!
