Never seen a pig with such long ears! Looks like a runt! I'm actually campaigning with hubby for a pig. Not successful though!

She does have really big ears. LOL Just tell him he'll never have to plow or hoe again

He doesn't plow. He doesn't hoe. City boy with country benefits! I do all that. What he does do is mow lawns! I have to guard my gardens from his wanderlust on the lawnmower! He does like to enjoy the efforts of my plowing and hoeing. But, truth be told, I do very little plowing or howing! I'm a heavy mulch gal. I'd love to have some of that pig poop! Bet it grows awesome squash and corn!

Is he afraid of snakes? Pigs kill and eat snakes. It doesn't have to be a big pig to do that. Even the potbellied pigs will clear a place of snakes. They will also dig up any Japanese beetle grubs and other grubs that turn into things that eat your garden. They are good at turning the compost pile for you too. I know of at least one lady who keeps her mini pig in her chicken yard to keep the snakes out. The little pig is a good chicken guard.

We have no snake fear here. As a matter of fact, I don't have enough of them. I think the chickens may be to blame for that.
