I think I am in zone 6. Right now it is 19 degrees, and that is warm. The ground is also covered with 5 inches of snow. However, once it starts warming up, I am planning on planting them outside, so they can come up each spring.

So out in a swampy part of our land there's tons of this one plant that looks a lot like blueberry bushes. Anybody have any ideas as to what they might be?

Looks like blueberry to me. Time will tell. If they produce blue berries that taste like blueberries, then, that's what you got! They are a bit different than the low bush berries we have, but then you're in a different area!

That what I was thinking. I was told we didn't have wild blueberries here

They're low to the ground only about 12 inches to two and a half feet mostly.

Dan, have you done a google search for low bush blueberries? You might check with your county extension agent, maybe send a e-mail pic.

I have. My county extension agent is my sister, (I know, lucky

) I see her everyday.

I can't help, but there is an excellent group on Facebook called Plant Identification that is amazing at this. They'll give you the common name and the scientific name as well most times
