Spring has arrived (for the moment) in Maine.  Frogs peeping for the past 2 nights.  Night crawler orgy on the front lawn last night.  It was funny watching the puppy "chase" them!  Back into nasty weather Sunday and Monday, with snow expected, and an other cold spell.  Stores not even carrying onion or potato sets yet.  Buds swelling.

I feel the pain, we have been having some real nice 60° days for the last few weeks, today it's in the 30s°, woke up today to about 1/2" - 1" of snow covering everything it looked like winter again, as soon as the sun came out poof all the white was gone, now we are getting blizzard like frozen rain for 5-10 minutes, it covers the ground, it stops, the sun comes out and we have a nice green lawn again, give or take 30-60 minutes later we get 5 minutes of blizzard like snow or snow sleet mix, it stops, the sun comes it all melts and the green grass shines once again... And it repeats 5-10 minutes of snow/sleet/frozen rain storms every hour or half hour, only to disappear before the next storm rolls in...

And it appears we will get more of the same later this week...

That's great. They are beautiful trees in either way.
Yeah. My dad thinks the main problem around here is that after it freezes people just cut the stalks down but bananas are a biennial perennial (If that makes any sense.) The flower stalk is in last years growth so if you cut it back to the ground you loose the bananas
