I love the cold too. Fortunately, my family all lives here. I like Wisconsin summer too though. Most of the time it's gorgeous, but when heat strikes, it strikes hard because we don't have proper AC. While you may stay inside, at least at my house, the inside is hotter than the outside, unless we run the AC. Even then it's only a little cooler than the outside temps unless it run a couple hours. For the most part though, you can just roll the windows down.
Haha the AC is running 24/7 here. Even then, if you don’t have good insulation you can definitely suffer. You can’t open the windows because it’s too humid, you don’t really get a nice dry breeze like you do in the desert.

Clear skies and 80° in Missouri.
Headed for mid 90s again for fifth straight day.
We missed spring here. MO weather sucks. Gonna hit 100° soon enough. Was below 0° in the winter. We get rain, snow, sleet, hail and tornadoes.
I guess bright side is no real earthquakes here and no hurricanes.

Sorry if this makes more work for you, Rose Quartz. A whole new range of colors just appeared. Look at those spotless dark greybrown eggs.
Also, the scratchcradle plum colored eggs, are actually plums. I know, disappointing. I saw that picture a few times on the internet before. Yay! Quoted everything.
the grey eggs are supposed to be, an olive egger, with pink.

I thought when I first saw that picture... Gee, that looks identical to plums. the Langshan darker eggs are supposed to be a dark brown like marans, but with a pink layer, that looks like the splotchy residue on the outside of unwashed plums.

https://croadlangshan.org/html/eggs.shtml

but they are more often the lighter brown, with the pink outer layer.

noice.

I may have to quote this page by page because the storm rages on. Internet is slow as Briar Rabbit molasses. I'm glad that there are only Canadians and Wisconsinites on this page currently, or the people from the South would be saying that ninety degrees would be terrific, while we all agree it is the worst weather that could come in the summer.
90..pshh
Easy breezy is 90.
;)

We would all die down here if we didn't run the air conditioner year round. We don't use heaters down here. I think we turned ours on once this past "winter"...AC year round is a must.

It is still hard for me to grasp that some of you aliens...I mean northerners don't have AC in your homes.

That is nuts to me.

What a lot of people really don’t understand is how humidity plays a huge factor.. 90f with high humidity is much more dangerous than 110f with no humidity.

Your sweat cannot evaporate when the humidity is that high. In dry climates, as long as you keep drinking, you will keep sweating and be just fine. Here, the muggy humidity wall doesn’t allow for a breeze and there’s not much difference in the shade. You really have to be careful of heat stroke on those muggy days.

Watch the news. Peeps die everyday down here because of the heat
Poor things don't drink water.

We never turned our heating system on. My family owns a wall mounted heating company (NOT radiator.. ew) and we use that for heat solely in the winter. Really cuts down on heating bill.
