I put it down as a Single comb. If it's genetically Single, that's all that matters in the calculator.

Are you telling me that brown eggs are supposed to white on the inside?
I can do this whole cracking-open-a-brown-egg-and-looking-at-the-inner-shell thing if you want.
My currently laying brown egg layers are as follows (a few of them I can't tell which egg is theirs, I will put a * by them):
Buff Orpington
Jersey Giant
SL Wyandotte
Cinnamon Queen*
Isa Brown
Black Australorp

I haven't collected eggs yet today. Want me to go out and get some from whoever of those breeds has laid already?

this one is still kind of brown. but it is lighter than the outer shell.

No they are not all the same color on the inside. Some are tinted white and some are brown.

do you have a guess as to how long they've been in the fridge? I'm floored. that's not supposed to happen, according to everything I read yesterday. I have yet to get to the altering genes, maybe that is normal and I just haven't gotten that far yet?
