Argggg....I'm so mad.

I got a new/used sewing machine a few weeks ago because my old/old one was acting up. I tried to use it for the first time to make some stuff today......can't get it to stitch. I seriously haven't made one stitch with it yet.

I know how to use a sewing machine, but I'm not good at trouble shooting. I don't know if my tension is off, using the wrong thread, I don't know. I have some stuff I really need to be working on, but I got so frustrated this morning that I gave up. I want a new/new sewing machine!!!!

P.S. - I’m blushing from all the nice comments on my projects. I adore quilts too, the only reason I don’t quilt is because I already have too many UFO's! (unfinished objects.)

Seriously though, if any of you ever want to do a true Victorian crazy quilt I have SO many fine fabrics you could have for the swatches; velvets, brocades, beaded fabrics, silks of all kinds....

I zoomed in on a couple of the blocks, I don't know if this is what you are looking for or not. This I sent out to be machine quilted, and they did leaves and vines which I thought was really nice for this quilt.

I am a quilter but I seldom have time until winter with my garden etc. I am trying to finish up a few projects I started last winter.
Would love to be involved in a block swap or fat quarters swap.

Only quilts I've made were for my daughter's school auction. I really enjoyed it, but I haven't been able to get started on my own stuff.
One of them sold for $2,000 and another was $1,400- mind you the kids had put their art on the squares, and all I had to do was put them together! Still feels good to say I 'made' a quilt that sold for that much!!

I've been sewing up a storm today! It's been so long since I've made the time to do it, so it feels great to be back at it!!

I'm planning on doing lots of homemade stuff for Christmas gifts this year. I have several unfinished things (don't we all!) so I'm motivated to get things done!!!

Thanks for trying to help...I got it fixed....works great now

I called my dad (

he taught me to sew, knit and crochet) and he helped me troubleshoot. The stupid needle was in the wrong way (DUH!!) Not my fault, the needle was in it when it was given to me. I thought it was weird that it was threaded side to side rather than front to back, but I've only ever used 2 other machines and they were the same model, so I didn't know.
