Their big thing is the sewing machines. Bernia (sp?) one of those expensive ones, lol. They also teach bunches of classes on how to use the machine to make just about everything.
I've got a $99 Brother that my mom bought me for Christmas about 12 years ago. I figured out how to use it for quilting 2 years ago. I used to do everything by hand.
If anyone wants to make the trip to MaryJo's, I've got a spareroom you can use while you are here. I'm about 10 miles away. People come there in buses from many states away. If you are a first timer, yeah, it can be a full days experience. MJ's is basicly a warehouse full of fabric and everything you need for sewing. Whether you need to redo your sofa or make a baby layette, MJ's has it.
