BYC SEWING/QUILTING CLUB

Oh I know the feeling! With two cupboards full of fabric --- such temptation to buy more
Some of mine do come from the US as I used to work a lot there. I was a set & costume designer in the theatre so I spent a lot of my time surrounded by fabric in companies wardrobe shops & also got to visit visit a huge number of fabric outlets!! Temptation was always present.......!!!!

Also I was always being given left-over scraps -- a couple of years ago I donated a lot of these to schools for their craft classes & the teachers & children had a great time.

Hi Hattie, I'm a transplanted Brit. Have been in the US 60 yrs. now. I am from Oldham, Lancs. and lived in Wales for a while before coming to the US when I was 8 yrs. old. I have to check out that website. Glad to hear from you. I'm fairly new to this BYC. It's good to hear from you.

Thanks Hattie, how do I get on the sister sight? My birthday is Jan. 29, 1940. Good Gosh! I can't believe I'll be 70. I don't feel it until I look at myself in the mirror!!!!!!

Hi baustin,

Mine is 15th June 1940 .........!!!

As for getting to TEG; track right down to the bottom of your BYC page & you will find all the sister forums listed across the bottom -- click on the one you want...!! It's as easy as that but it took me months to find it myself. I joined BYC first, then joined TEG & now SS. It's easy to go from one to the other & I keep the same name for all of them.If you want to join you do it separately.

See you on TEG I hope!

Thank you Hattie for your help. Hope to have the time tomorrow to check it out. I'm too stuffed and too pooped to do much tonight since I ate too much Thanksgiving dinner and was on my feet from 7 this morning until we sat down to dinner at 2. I cooked for 7 people today. I've cooked for more since I had 7 children but those were in my yonger days.

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving Day.

Hi Hattie and Baustin....it is soo nice you have connected as Brits and connected with us as quilters.

Hattie, I've added your great fabric link to the Quilter's help thread.
I've added the link to the thread at the bottom of my profile.

Hopefully anybody who has a great site where they buy fabric, notions and patterns will add them to the thread.
And anyone who has links to free patterns....please add those too.
