I copied and pasted a link to a video uploaded into the gallery and it actually created a little video directly in my post (like it does for youtube).

I love this new feature!!

Try a different browser and see if it does it again. If you can, try posting the same image from a different device.

I don't have /use a different browser. Chrome sucks and ghostery was discontinued

taking pics in landscape mode seems to work fine.

just in portrait mode

My iPhone home button doesn’t work anymore and SIRI went on a vacation I guess. Nothing to do with BYC upgrade, but never hurts to ask!
