BYC's 13th Annual New Year's Day Hatch-Along - 2022

I’ll endeavour to set some chicks and some x-bred ducklings…. Need help tho as the xbreed is Cayuga x muscovy (laid outta muscovy) do I set for Cayuga hatch time or muscovy hatch time?? I might set for muscovy and if they hatch early then they can be Christmas babies instead of New Years babies lol

My 9.5 year old hen is back to laying again so I bet she'll lay 12 eggs and go broody for a Christmas hatch!
I really hope her eggs are fertile I really want chicks from her! She is the picture of health and never had any issues in her life since I got her a few years back from a breeder who didn't want the old hen. She is the best mumma ever too.
She is the Queen of the flock always and is picky with her men so I'm not sure if she's warmed up to Biscuit rooster yet. I haven't seen the deed done only him side shuffle dancing around her.

Don’t ya love that side shuffle rooster dance?? I’ve got 5 roosters and they all side shuffle together lol it looks like a little flash mob lol…

If you are new to hatching, this is a great way to get a lot of help, tips, and advice. Join in the fun in BYC's 13th Annual New Year's Day Hatch-Along - 2022

Set Chicken eggs on Saturday, December 11th at Noon (whatever time zone you are in). Other poultry will be sooner or later depending on incubation time. Other poultry set dates are listed in the spoiler below:
