BYC's 13th Annual New Year's Day Hatch-Along - 2022

Nope, won't be hatching chicken eggs any more, I got roosters my last 3 hatches. I'm waiting until February 2022 to set duck eggs (if they're laying by then). I only hatch Runner ducks. Last year was my first time. I kept the first duckling to hatch and sold rest of the hatches within 24 hours of posting. Got lucky, I kept a female.

This is Tillie my first Runner hatchling. She was hatched 6/8/21.

These are Tillie's parents, they were hatched by a hatchery on 8/4/19. I just call them Momma (chocolate) Papa (blue).

My girl was sitting on eggs for about 7-10days then they were accidentally removed from her and placed in the “eating” pile over night I think I’ve got all the right eggs and she’s straight back to sitting on them if they are the right ones will they be ok?? If not then I’ll have NYE/NYD chicks

Were you able to candle them? Not sure if they’ll survive that. A few hours isn’t too bad.

I happen to start incubating Brahma, Leghorn, and some surprise chicken breed eggs today and then saw this thread. I’d like to follow the hatch along.
