That's a bit sad...... they were fun

After doing them for about 10 years in a row.....

I will do some inquiries....and even if not this time, I'm sure they will happen again in future Hatchalongs.

I won't be joining in on this one this year, but I do currently have 18 fertile Bielefelder (chicken) egg's from my flock sitting on the counter if anyone in Arizona would like to join it but need's some egg's.

Thank you! I have a nice flock of these going now, and the egg's are now a good size for hatching, and all of the one's that I crack open are fertile.

6 olive Eggers
5 isbars
3 bresse those from high valley
5 Bielefelders from Glasgow farm
7 ayam cemani
7 crested cream legbar
6 black copper marans from dragonfly farm

I set some pekin duck eggs on the incubator yesterday. A few days early I suppose. Then again, my last hatch took a few days longer than normal. Maybe I’ll get some new-years ducklings.

I forgot about this thread, my apologies. I candled the duck eggs a bit ago. 3 look questionable, but I’m going to give it another candling or so before tossing them. 6 eggs look healthy though.

One was not fertile. CL

14 were fertile, but 3 quit.
11/14 hatched. On 12-08-2022 from the back row-

1 Golden deathlayer
2- marans

3 Ayam cemani

My own chickens are not coming up with fertile eggs, so I may not be in this next hatch.

For those who say "I am not hatching out chicks in the dead of winter..." My house today.

And 11 chicks in the brooder. But they will be laying by May, hopefully.
