Nifty - I also don't see albums? Like our photos we upload??

Albums / Galleries will be converted over. This isn't a feature on BYH yet, but we'll have it on BYC on the day of conversion.

So, will we start to not be able to post? Tonight, or tomorrow?

The conversion is scheduled to start Tuesday and we hope that peeps will be able to start posting again by the weekend.

Nifty, Will there be a way to private message someone? I looked and did not see it.

yes, they are called "conversations" and are private messages.

IF we post something on BYH or whatever, will it count towards the post totals that BYC displays every day ?

No, it's an independent system.

when we delete a PM will we still be able to view it in the "trash" tab?

I had to look this up to remind myself. You don't "delete" conversations... you choose to leave them, which is immediate. There is not concept of a "trash" on the new system. Test it out with another member on BYH

Yes, there will be similar links / options

Will we get an email with the new website link?

All links, etc. should be the same. No need to change bookmarks, links, etc.

Will I need to remember what my BYC password is?

Yes, you should know your BYC password, but if you don't know it, you can reset it now or just ask for it to be reset automatically once we convert over. NOTE: You MUST have access to the email address you have on record, so MAKE SURE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IS CORRECT!

I have faith that BYC will keep our chicken-y emojis! These little yellow guys are my favorites. Wish I could get them on my phone.

Alright, I'm all signed up and introduced over at BYH. I like it. I'm a tad ashamed that I didn't realize we had sister sites! I think BYH is right up my alley... maybe BYC won't get me back after the move....
HA! Just kidding. Of course I'll be back, but now I have another forum to stalk... gee thanks!

I have a metered internet connection. I have a Golden Feather Membership to support BYC and so I don't have to see video ads that run up my usage. Will this perk be the same on the new format? I can't join BYH or Easy Garden because I don't want to learn (slow learner here) and run up usage so will have "to wait it out".

I have metered internet too (only option where I live) and have considered the Golden Feathers membership for that among other reasons, so the answer to this is of interest to me as well.

Hmm... I don't think there is an "I've Posted" option, but you can set in your profile to subscribe to all threads in which you post, so that's pretty much the same thing.

GFM's and PPM's will still be able to block advertising.

Once you select the forum section you wish to start a thread in look for the "Post new thread" as shown below circled in red ~

Guess I've missed a lot by not viewing the ads here



I did join there this morning to take a look around. I think us elders can catch on quickly and the format will be more easily learned by new young members than our current one.
IMO if you can raise and care for chickens, you can learn anything
