Yes, she is a great chicken sitter aart! Very gentle and patient. She loves the idea of farm life with animals such as chickens and goats and so forth, but isn't able to have any animals of her own due to a variety of reasons, so taking care of my animals gives her a farm fix so to speak, even though we do not have a farm per say. She took care of my goats as well before they all passed.
I am sure my carpenters do NOT know how to work around chickens, but they are going to learn real fast since they did not deem it necessary to actually finish by last Friday. So now they will have to go into the run to measure and will have to do all their cutting etc. outside in the yard and then go back into the run to install. Really, all they have to do is finish installing 2 windows, put in the two dividers in the nest boxes and install the trim. I will do all the painting and put up the trim inside the coop and install the HWC on the eaves. We are using 1 x 4 for the trim and I have a handy dandy jig saw, so off I will go first thing Tuesday morning. I have to take the perches out to paint them, so I will just put in the trim while the perches are out.
I expect it should only take another day's work if they would actually come and work all day.
