Cackleberry Cottage~~comes to life!

They passed away from old age. Madeline, who just passed, was 16 1/2. I have a chronic illness and so we decided not to continue on with goats, as it is too physically demanding for me to care for them. So we are focusing on making the best chicken coop and run we can so it is easy for me to manage the chickens on my own.

That is why i am getting Nigerians, much smaller. Sorry about your illness.

Awww, thanks. It is what it is and I just do the best I can within my limitations. Nigerians are great goats! We had 6 over the years and loved them all! They kid easily and are great little milkers as well. Their milk is delicious and I really miss that. You are going to love have them.

Its is a miracle! The workers are outside my bedroom window since 8:30 making a racket. I can hope they might get the soffits done today!

Oh no! I took today off. I am very tired from my trip. But both carpenter guy 1 and 2 popped by to let me know they will be here tomorrow to finish putting in the windows and to do the trim. So I will be out there early to work on painting the roosts and putting the trim around the inside windows. Let's hope this finishes it up!

This was the scene this morning. Everyone seems to be enjoying their new digs.
