Cackleberry Cottage~~comes to life!

Pics
Thank you TexasLisa! On all counts. I do try, but I have 3 chronic illnesses and it does put a damper on what I want to be doing. I will be posting "finished coop" pics in a few days after it is totally done. Of course what coop and run is ever totally done? LOL!!! But I need to start turning my attention towards Christmas.

My daughter #3 just informed us last night that she has taken a job in AZ and that her and her husband and my 3 grandbabies are moving a few days after Christmas. So this will be our last time all together for a while, so I want to make it special. Thankfully, I have baby Joshua to keep me from crying too much, as I will sorely miss the other 3 littles.

Don't worry, I will. Yes it is sad, but she worked hard to go to school and just isn't able to find anything around here. There is too much competition I suppose. Plus my son in law wants to start school in Jan and there is no way he can work the hours he is working now and go to school, so she will make enough that he can be a stay at home dad and go to school. She will only have to work 3 12 hour days each week and be off 4 days.

Luckily, she will only be about 2 hours from where my doctor is over there, so every doctor appt will now include a little side trip I suppose. I am also going to get a new macbook with facetime so I can talk to them anytime I want. I don't like them leaving, but I understand. We did the same thing when we were their exact age due to a lack of work in our hometown. Sad, but we can't hold them back from reaching for their dreams.

aart, maybe I will get a fake chicken and use that to make chicken foot prints. Probably would be much easier than using one of the girls anyway.

Yes, it is going to be hard. We have been lucky up until now that all the grandbabies are close by. Guess it was bound to happen sooner or later since we have 4 daughters.

Went to the doctor. I don't think he was too impressed.

Just finished catching up on this dramatic journey of yours! Congrats on that beautiful baby for starters! Precious! Your coop is gorgeous! Good things come to those who wait...and boy did you have to wait! lol

Thanks so much. Yes, I did have to wait and wait and wait, but now I am just thrilled to bits with how everything turned out. It is so different from what I had been imagining and planning initially, but I am very happy with it and I think I will have many happy years of chicken keeping with it. And of course we had to throw that new grandson in there just to mix things up a bit.

I am off to do errands and hopefully when I get back at least one carpenter guy will be here. Then I can put on my work clothes and start doing my bits.
