Calif. N.Central Valley/Foothills

My self and both daughters will be showing at Stockton. I think just our Bantam Polish, Bantam Cochins and our Calls since that's all we have now that are show quality.
The girls are showing (Abby for the 1st time) on Dec 10th at a 4-H show in Sutter Creek.

I am toying with the idea of showing something, but don'tknow what. I will be selling Ameraucanas. I just posted a Craigslist ad & will take some to Stockton. I have a list that I will be selling to cut down on my breed/varieties
Barnevelders
Mottled Javas
Exchequer Leghorns
Delawares
and a variety of misc. like Andalusians.
I also have a bunch of birds that I need to process that I have to many of so I am going to try to sell them locally live to people that process for themselves.
My quail are laying now & I am getting several eggs a day so I have already pickled some & am collecting to do more. The guy in Ripon that is making my cages came by yesterday to show me the proto type that I ordered. Right now they are in 2 of my brooders. That makes them really handy. Maybe during my hatching vacation I should use the brooders to house them for easy egg collection.....LOL
I ordered quail at a restaurant Wednesday. I had never eaten it & wanted to see what it was like. It was very tasty but the way I eat I would need several..........LOL. They seem like they would be easy to process compared to chickens.

I don't have any barnevelders in my flock anymore..think I need a few..

yeah me too, just one or two hens/pullets....but have to wait till spring to see if you have any left. Cheryl, I wont be anywhere near you in the forseeable future, but keep me posted!

My bantam Favs are so pretty, but they have crazy toe nails, so no showing for them till I can get that fixed. I wonder how Lavern would do? Or maybe my bantam Wellie roo?? He's beautiful, but fast and I can't get pics.

Here's one of Lavern. How does he look? I know it's a terrible pic, but no one cooperates around here.

I'm freezing! I hate this getting old stuff, it's hard on the body. I get to spend the whole day at John's Incredible Pizza today. My 14 yr old grandson's BDay party. I used to have fun there, but no money or anyone to hang out with but my kids and sister, so I guess I'll just het the all you can eat bar all day and night.

Yes there is a sale barn because they are charging for sale cages on the entry. Here is where the show is located:

The 2011 Amador Youth Poultry Show will be held at
the Italian Picnic Grounds located in Sutter Creek, California.
To get to the picnic grounds from Sacramento, take State 16 to State 49 and travel south to Sutter Creek; head up the hill toward Jackson - the Italian Benevolent Society archway marking the entrance to the picnic grounds will be on your right. From Stockton, take State 88 to State 49 and go north about 1 mile; the archway will be on your left.

When is this show? Can you post some info on the Californian thread so I can add it to the first post?
