Calif. N.Central Valley/Foothills

Hi everyone,
I'm not from the N. Central valley or the foothills but I was wondering if anyone on this thread would like the 6 pullets (& extra "chicken stuff") that I'm selling. It's my flock and they'd like a good home. Please see my "My Page" for more details or just PM me. And if anyone else on here knows people who are looking for pullets let them know about my offer. It's PICK UP ONLY and I'd like the 6 to go together.

BTW, that pic of the EE with her hoard of babies is so cute.

Welcome Taylor!

For all of you close to Modesto, I just got a flyer from JS West Feed Store. They are having a poultry sale, open to the public, on October 15th from 10AM to 3PM (with a BBQ lunch at noon). Flyer says "Breeders from all over will have show quality exhibition poultry for sale. A great place to get showmanship birds, exhibition birds or just really nice pure bred birds to have around the home." Open to the public. If there's any questions, please call: 209-988-7762. (JS West is at the corner of 9th and G St., near Hwy. 99)

Maybe we'll see you there!

Hello, I am in Fresno wich is just north of the middle of California. Was wondering if anyone in the area is interested in going in on an order from Geenfire farms. They have a min order of 6 and I only want 2 Cream Legbars. They are 100 bucks each and are auto sex. I want to get 2 females. Let me know if interested. Thanks.

The date says 02/27/12

I may just get 4 flower hens with em to fill the order.

Yep that would be me.

Have I ever bought any of your quail? I think I have.

Taking some containers I can't use over tomorrow. Not sure yet if I'll stay, but probably for a while.

I've never been to the Escolon auction. I get so turned around out here, that I can't figure out which direction Escolon is. LOL

I hear that the commission they take id less than Modesto though. That would be nice.

That'sright Kim. kfChickenlady, takes her's there & so does Lynda.I have been out there once & I probably saw Taylor there & didn't even know it. I know I saw his friend there. Turns out Taylor lives just a couple of roads over from me & I pass his place going to my Costco here.
I finally have quail hatching today (A & M Texas Couturnix). I lost my hatching records in the computer. Somehow they are corrupted & Raymond couldn't retrieve them for me like I had hoped. That will teach me to have him back them up for me from now on.

Everyone on this thread knows about the Oct 15th Poultry sale at J.S. West I suppose but I thought I would mention it. There will be alot of nice birds there. I am having my new English Orpingtons delivered there that day. I am excited. I am going to call today to see how I go about selling alot of mine there that day too.

My husband loved going there to ask Heather questions. He wasn't really into my birds other than building for me and handing me money and picking up feed. He was always so excited to talk to her so he had some input when I needed something, so until he died I let her be hIS chicken connection.

I had a few baby quail here that I ended up taking to the auction this morning. Took some buckets, but they weren't taking any more items, just animals, sooo. Ends up I have talked to Taylor a few times. HI TAYLOR!! LOL I gave the buckets to his friend. Every time I move something in the garage those darn thing fell on me. Maybe now I can finally start getting rid of a few things. Hard though, because a lot out there is Bill's and I refuse to give up any of his things.

Didn't do great with the quail, but better than I though. Got my usual price for week olds for them, although they were 2 weeks and a little over. Only sold 6 though. I kept the biggest ones. Then I spent the money. Not good. Could have been more feed money. I bought a little spangled hen that I think is an OEGB. The roo went for more than I had with me, so I didn't get him. Plus I end up with roos all the time anyway, so I'm going to put her in with Makayla's black birchen MG and see what I egt, just for the heck of it.

Got home to tke quail out of the bator, only had the 8 when I left, but there are 9 now, so I stuck the wet ne bacl in the bator and hope he calls out some more. LOL I need to check the other incubaors and see what I have going into lockdown. Sure hope I get something worth keeping or selling or trading.

Kim,
I have 11 A & Ms out so far & will leave them alone for the day at least to see if more come out. Are the ones you are selling at 2 weeks old the small Courturnix brown ones?
