She could have been pecked in the head. Look that up, I can't remember what it is vit b?? But swelling I'll make them still.

Hope she gets better.

I just had a little marans pullet pass from a seizure she's been in a coma ( or whatever chickens have) all day. I nursed her back from the first one but this time she didn't wake.

Quote: Chiqita knows silkies and that could be the answer. As I recall from an earlier post, the b vitamins help with the swelling.

I would look that up. With the feathers missing I would bet there is a brain injury going on.

I am really hoping she will recover! They are tough little creatures and if she makes until the morning you will be in much better shape. I go by the 3 day rule: If they are getting better after 3 days they will usually recover.

Keep up the good job you are doing with her!

Omg, I can't see its tongue at all. Its like its completely down its throat.
Oh No!

Brain injury is even more likely. It's having a type of seizure?

Wish I could figure out how to do a tongue sweep on a chicken. I know how to do it on a human. Poor thing is getting tired out. Making a weird noise every so often. I can see all the way down the throat and can't see a tongue anywhere. WTH?

I am so sorry!

I need to go to bed now but will be praying and hoping for you and the Silkie!
