Boy, all these choises. I have Purina, Showtime (no one feeds this that I have found), and Rogue from the co-op.

The Rogue feed I am feeding is from the Grange Co-Op just to make sure we are both talking apples.
They have a selection of proteins that makes it easy for me to feed the bantams a higher protein, they have an egg pellet with added Omega 3's, a Turkey Game with 28% that i grow out bantams on.
The girls were raised on it and only once did I have a problem. Bought a bag of chick starter and they had previously run "grouts"? so in the chick starter there were seeds or grains that could have done the babies damage. Took it in and swapped it for new. I'm not sure what grouts are but they were nasty looking things to be in chick starter.
That's the same as I'm feeding. I don't feed organic, I've had people request soy free eggs, corn free eggs, fertilized eggs, you name it. Most people who try our eggs come back every week, I've been told they taste like eggs grandma used to serve.
I supplement their feed with a whole grain product called Super Scratch, it has fish oil also and really golds up the yolks even when they can't get out to day range. If I were to open the run door right now they would look at me like I was nuts-it's wet out there!
Me too, but I alternate with Wheat mixed with Ultra Kibble and King feed natural non soy. They are funny when they get a new food for the first time.My chickens are currently eating Purina Layena, as they have been sending me coupons (read: great deals). The only other food they have eaten is from my local JS West. It was funny watching them the first time they got pellets. They caught on quickly though.
