Does anyone know about how long the scabs from dubbing will stay on?![]()
It's been 20+ years since I've had a bird dubbed (my son's), but that's a fairly major scab so I'd think it would be at least a couple of weeks before the bird looks normal. And that's just a WAG.Does anyone know about how long the scabs from dubbing will stay on?![]()

It is required for some breeds for showing in a competition. I think Games and OEGBs
not many now.How many chickens do you have? Do the eggs sales (3/dozen) cover your feed costs?

Chickee.... I so want to get some of them eggsX 2I almost have enough LF and bantam BLRW eggs collected to start incubating
I haven't fired up my Octagon 20 advance ex (great incubator) in 4 months. I just couldn't wait any longer
Might even throw in some EE eggs from my pure buff Ameraucana hens x pure, Pips & Peeps, wheaten Ameraucana rooster. The offspring lay the prettiest blue and turquoise eggs.![]()
Quote: This was one of my hatchery "Americana" (that's the breed they said she was, I know there's no "i" in Ameraucana) chickens who laid beautiful blue egg. I had 4 that looked just like this and they all laid really blue eggs.

Does anyone remember the Huel Howser show where they showed the fields of Marigolds that were grown for commercial chicken feed to give the yokes color?
