I think Petaluma Poultry has several brands including Rock Island and Judy's. I just went to petalumapoultry.com website and it is down due to maintenance. However, in my search I found this resource link for local (No. Cal) food. Thought ya'll might find interesting

I don't get notifications at all. I've tried all kinds of things to fix it but just gave up. I just check my subscriptions to see if there are new posts.

I bought a dozen TJs eggs and set 11 because one was cracked. 3 developed and 2 hatched both pullets. Zooweemama has them and at least one of them is laying!

Good to know. Were they White Leghorns? I do love white leghorns!!!

I went to the TJs and store eggs thread and these guys are 5 weeks old:

They do not have barring and are the color you would expect if Red Sex link pullets were used. Roo is probably a production red but could be a sex link roo.

The pictures are from the Whole Foods eggs that Pele hatched for the NYD Hatch-a-long. They were brown eggs.

The Eco Glow is a contact heater and works like a mother hen. I think the chickens do much better with it and, wait for it, they pay for themselves in electrical costs in just a couple of months!

They run under it to get warm and then run back out so you do get to see them. If the room you are in is less than 50 degrees you might have a problem. I say might because mine are in the garage and it gets pretty cold in there at night. They learn to not be afraid of the dark and get into a more natural rhythm of day and night.

I adjust mine twice before they stop using it. My problem is if I hatch more than will fit under it. They to manage but it is funny to see the fluffy butts hanging out from under it. The chicks I hatched from your OEs used the eco glow 20. They stopped using it at about 5 weeks old. Tough little buggers....

I use these in my new chick brooders. I also have a reptile lamp/bulb as these eco glows are great but do not give off heat for the cold evenings. I LOVE THEM!!

Excuse the lack of "cuteness", we just remodeled and haven't painted or anything yet

The floor level has a rabbit cage with another eco glow for the older chicks and then they progress to the larger grow out area next door (bottom photos)
