Thank you! Those are great suggestions. Wash is in surgery now for the abscess, and they're doing blood work on his heart murmur. Please send good wishes that it isn't heartworm, which they said is fatal in cats (eta I just did some research on feline heartworms and 1) I don't think he has them. I hope! He doesn't really have any symptoms, and heart murmur wasn't mentioned as a symptom. and 2) It didn't say that it was always fatal, but that a lot of cats get rid of them on their own. But sudden death is a symptom. Eeesh.) . I can't imagine losing him :hit He's only six. He was my buddy for years while I was a single mom, been through 10 moves. He's such a good little soul.

I've been checking craigslist! We also got info on some places you can get reclaimed lumber. Our landlord actually has everything we would need and more sitting out here all covered and dust and droppings, but when we asked about it he put off answering us until he comes to fix our ceiling, which he's been saying he would do since December. It's so frustrating to see it just sitting there! But it isn't ours.

I'm sending prayers your way for your sweet little cat.

Congratulations on the chicks you guys!!

Molly those baby goats are soo cute! Is this the season they are for sale? I need a few goats over here!

Amy you really have a heavenly talent with those cameras. Can i hire you maybe next year when all of my orps are grown up? I want to put my website together at the end of this year- the beginning of next year.

When we moved in a couple years ago there were these old containers that you put dog food in? We set these aside for the garbage. Well on a whim I put one in the duck coop and 1 in the chicken coop...they are THE most used lay box of the coops. The ducks almost exclusively lay in that one in their coop and before Betty took over the chicken coop's one- most of the pullets laid their eggs in that one too. I thought I'd buy some more...Petco for like $45...ummm...maybe not but the birds seriously love them.

Oh! I know what you are talking about. Yeah, $45 is not worth it. Although I think my in-laws might have one they aren't using. :D
