Wow, just caught up again. So much to respond to. Won't quote but just lost thoughts below.
Miss Molly you always make me feel better!! I limit myself to setting 100 eggs a week and people think I'm crazy. Glad to know you are double crazy. ;-p. awaiting more good news from you and def have you in my prayers
For those searching for BLRW. Look at my signature for the as for hatching eggs. They are in there if you are Interested.
. I have two breeding pens so you can get unrelated birds.
Worming: I used ivermectin this winter. Worked great
Guineas: I have four that have just been given freedom to roam. Will see how they do.
Chiquita: i did the Same thing. Put two breeds together that I thought I would be able to identify. Worse ssomeone came for the rhodebar Pullets. So I had to give her my first 2 speckled Sussex chicks because I couldn't be 100% confident of which was which.
oh well. She'll get some beautiful chicks for sure.
Amybeth: think you got it sorted but I lost my clips and plugs long ago and my hovabator does great without them. Don't think you need them.
That's all I can think of at the moment.
Other good news of the week:
I got my first gold laced orpington eggs which will be going into the incubator tomorrow. Can't wait!!! I think every single one of my breeding pens are laying. Yay!!
And that's about 25 breeding coops and 8 breeding pens.
Still working on the chicken count. Although it has both reduced by about 60 roosters/Pullets/chicks being sold and of course increased by last hatch by 75 plus chicks. I think I will make this count a sans chick count for my sanity. I only have 7 coops, my small breeding pens, and one grow out coop left to count...I'm at ... Gulp 250 so far. No chicks in that number and still missing

Thank you so much for the compliment. <3
. I started this idea of chickens about 3-4 years ago. I thought oh great! Fairfield allows 3 hens. I will just order 3 from My Pet Chicken. Somehow my box ended up with 12 chicks in it. That is the proverbial Chicken Math everyone talks about.
