2 Light Brahmas, 2 Speckled Sussex...and I want 1 Blue Andalusian but since they only breed 50% blue I ordered 4 of them. Am going to keep the blues and sell the others, and then whichever blue turns out the best is the one I'll keep.
And 7 RIR's that'll be sold after I get them, just because I needed a minimum order of 15

I am getting SS too and on my future wish list I have a Buff Brahma because everyone needs a fluffy yellow chicken in their yard. Will you just put the RIRs on CL?

What is your humidity at now that the hatching has started? Have you noticed any change?

With the quail they must have been so small and their was very little goo of any kind although they were wet they didn't affect the humidity.
I think that the humidity setting on my unit is a little off and reads lower than the actual humidity is. The first 18 days, I tried to keep the humidity at 40-45 on the unit but the separate hygrometer inside was reading 50-55. At day 18, I put water in the 2nd section and covered a little bit of the first section with foil. Before hatching began, the incubator read 56 and the hygrometer inside the grape container with the eggs read 65. Now that hatching is happening, the incubator reads 62 and the hygrometer reads 70. I have 4 hatched, 2 starting to zip, and the 2 slow pokes that are 3/4 zipped but showing no action since the middle of the night. I'm sitting on my hands and I'm not going to intervene until the other 2 eggs are hatched. Then I might pull the top off of those two or at least zip them the rest of the way.

My Buff Brahma is a tank! She is one of my biggest birds even though she is a hatchery bird. She is so sweet and I love her. The downside of her mellow personality is that she is almost at the bottom of the pecking order and head hen & her enforcers jump on her sometimes.

Okay, gonna be a bit radical and post some poop. Sorry, but I'm having the HARDEST time getting any help from local feed stores. No one in all of Nevada County has Corid! If they do, it's for cows. I tried Auburn and they have something for Cocci, but it's not Corid. When I checked on the girls this morning this is what I found. Im not sure if it's coming all from one chick or many. This is a marble slab the waterer sits upon. Does this look like Cocci poop? For the most part they all look pretty good. A moth got into the brooder last night and they went NUTS and played "keep away" until it was gobbled up.

Hi Nikon!

A lot of medicines we use are for pigs and cows. That looks like coci cysts.

This is what I have been using:

Oh! That we've found, but we were looking for a package for chickens. Doh! We found some Sulmet in Grass Valley, but have read that Corid is much better. Now that we know we can use the cow version we can pick that up. How do you dilute and treat them with it? We are using the quart sized plastic waterer.

Also, if i'm giving them the medicated feed. ( they are on Purina medicated feed that has 0.0125% Amprolium) If I give them all the Corid do I take them off of the medicated starter and only give them their beloved 7 grain cereal?
