i am tired of broody non layers. I need my empordanesa to start laying again ! what to do

move them to a different coop or give them a couple of chicks and then take them away. They will stop being broody and start laying in 4 weeks or so.

Me too. I got rid of my Silkies for that reason. I have 2 of my 3 OE's that have been broody for over a month! I've tried kicking them out of the coop, locking them out of the nesting boxes, and giving them a bath. Nothing has worked!! I feel your pain...

Does anyone else think she is starting to look a little "Roostery"?

Jason, try hanging a wire cage (like a rabbit cage) on a wall or the side of the coop. Put the broody in the wire cage. There's something about having all that air under them that breaks them.

will try these ideas. I have more olive eggers and a empordanesa that just hatched.
I can put some under them this weekend so I can watch the others or try using the cage idea

My garden is really taking off. I have squash, cucumber, pumpkin, eggplant, garlic, peppers, green beans, peas, corn, lettuce, and tons of different tomatoes. I've even been able to keep out the chickens. -win!!

Nice! I got mine in late, but I have squash on, tomatoes and peppers blooming. I had to replant my cucumbers courtesy of the sowbugs that chomped them to death. I've got to go pick my lettuce today, it's ready.
