Nothing from you Kelly!

I have a couple of white crested black polish pullets I'm going to sell. I also have some younger whites, but I haven't sexed them yet. I could take a look at them tomorrow to see if they are old enough to tell. I also have a frizzled tolbunt hen that I may sell, but she is a little spendy.

I'm in the Placerville area.

How much are the crested black pullets? How many do you have to sell? I have a friend who might want to drive over with me :)

wow that is great did you name it Captin I am almost ready Meg !
Awesome Jason!
Megan, are the Pita Pintas a dual purpose breed? I loved babysitting your first group of chicks and I love what they look like now! My incubator is sitting empty for the first time in 2 1/2 months and I'm trying to figure out how to justify adding another breed.

Hi Debi! Yes they're a dual purpose breed. Their meat is prized in Europe and they are egg laying machines! Ron - I'm so glad they're doing well! They're little champions. You're going to fall in love with the breed!

I would love a frizzled Tolbunt Polish hen but aside from that, are you from the Mid-West? The only other person I know that says "spendy" is from North Dakota, don'tcha know!!!! And she drinks pop and has Supper!

I used to drink pop, I do eat supper, and I grew up in Iowa!

On the What are you baking now thread there was a recipe for Black Berry Wine cake. The Recipe and all of the ones I could find used Box mixes.

I do not use those--I do not like the way they taste--I grew up on home made everything. Of course I modified one of my favorite cake recipes and it turned out great!

I hope the instructions make sense. If not send a pm.
That looks so good!!!

Random picture day.

The 5 month old cockerel I kept. For those of you familiar with my rooster Moose, this is his son.

Also, 5 month old welsummer pullets:

A broody standoff. Luckily, peace was made between them today:

Dusty's (the BR) welsummer baby snoozing.

My Icelandic broody's Olive egger babies:

I'd have to count for sure, there are cockerels in the grow out pen also. I have a few more that are younger, but I'd have to look to see if they are sexable yet.

I'm not sure where I got that, but nope............I'm native Californian. I don't think anyone in my family ever said that either, just picked it up somewhere along the way............ And I drink soda and eat dinner!

He is quite the looker. He'll be stunning when his tail finishes coming in.
