California - Northern

ok, after reading that Ron, I have a question. did the call it poulet de breese or JUST blue footed chicken? If its just blue foot, it is like ours! Did they say if they were finished specially?
They called them Blue Foot and did not go into how they were finished.

They looked like our though.

Yup, what they said.  Whatever color she laid, that's the color she's going to continue to lay.  So you have a lovely brown egg laying chicken!  Do you know what cross they used to produce the OE?

I'm doing BC Marans over Araucana.

I think that's the same cross I have she's solid black except her wattles. Gonna crack the egg tonight to see what's inside :)

Was that the episode with the black skinned chicken? That was pretty crazy.
They were Bresse, probably the White version. They had very blue feet--bluer than mine have. Most likely because I do not give them corn.

I still need to watch the Silkie episode.

There is a local guy that sells black skinned chooks that are not silkies and are of. They are freaky looking.

Quote: Yeah, I don't think the local guy is selling Cemani.

Has anyone heard/used a Leahy Marsh incubator?

We have orange smoked filled skies. Last report was 75 acres on the other side of the river. Hope the breeze dies down soon.
