California - Northern

Oh my goodness! Just woke up at 6:30 to hear my 4 month old girls singing the egg song! I got so excited I jumped out of bed and ran to the coop, but no egg. They all switched from egg song to the "let us out of here, lady" song as I got to the coop. What gives? Are they just practicing? It was kind of adorable either way.
Yes, it is frustrating! One of mine spent all Day on a Sunday going to the nest box and singing the egg song with no egg. Monday when I came home from work the first egg was in the nest box!

You will have your first egg in the next day or so. Very eggciting!

I have another squater this morning.......yay!
Funny thing is that she is our 26 week old Partridge Wyandotte who has never developed a comb, and has the tiniest wattles that are not super red.
I did not expect her to lay for a month or so. at least. Could she just be psyching me out? Dang chickens playing tricks on me........

ok just read a post you did on Ameraucanas. are you looking for Breeders or just the eggs.
Candy ( Chickee ) in Grass Valley has some nice ones

Many people have olive eggers on here. and easter eggers too.
I am sure we can help you find what you need.

Woo Hoo!

Great looking Chickens!

The Basque Hen hatch is finished! I have 5 Basque Hen Chicks and 2 Pita Pintas. The Pita Pintas are like the Bonus Mystery Eggs from McMurray--I did not know they were in there.

I can't complain though..They are great chickens!
