I'm getting really bad with off topic posts, but look what's going on behind my property today:



That tiny white dot in the smoke, above the flames, is a helicopter, about to drop water. The fire started about a block away at the base of the hills. My husband is one of the firefighters. They are doing a great job keeping it in the wild areas away from the homes in the valley.

It's that time of the year, isn't it? Looks like they're on it. Still gives me the chills to see something like that. You guys have probably done all your preventative maintenance with a firefighter in the family! Stay safe!.

Keep safe and remember that if you see or smell smoke it is unsafe to exercise out doors. A person on NPR said the little masks people wear will not filter out the smoke either.

How is it going ?
My DH is down in NorCal (Lake County) right now fixing a waterheater in our Rental place there, and he will be coming back up Monday (I think) and I am looking for 6 fertile hatching eggs from Rose Comb Light Brown Leghorns.
If you know of anyone, and hopefully DH can meet up or even have the eggs shipped, please PM me !

I don't have any of those. I could probably use them to breed production type back to the Cream Legbars.

I hope you find some. Let me know if you don't hear back from anyone here and I will check with other sources.

just found a home for my 2 campines and my wynadotte
now in a few weeks i can offer up some pure icelandic's as that is the only roosters I have left with the icelandic hens and the ameraucana and olive egger hens
