So you are going in on Chicks or eggs? I might have misunderstood. I thought you were doing eggs?

If so, I will go in on some Silver Penciled Wyandottes and a couple of Sultan. I really would like a Black Sumatra, but...... the Roosters are the ones with the spectacular tails.

ha ha sounds good. um nope. I have my own system ;) I have a rod and tie the legs to it. Then I Hold the head and one uses a large pair of loppers *snip* drop walk away and wait. very easy. No one needs to hold the ducks. The feathers don't seem to get in the way.

Eggs from Urch are hard to hatch--he packs in sawdust I hear.

We could work on a couple orders, one for chicks and one for eggs.

I could meet you in Auburn so the eggs wouldn't have to be shipped if you would like some dark eggs for the NYD hatch. I should be able to come up with some golden cuckoo Marans eggs for you. I collected 12 (I get one or 2 each day) took a little less than a week. Set them and all 12 grew and are due to hatch Thursday. If you are interested just PM me

Golden Cuckoo Marans are beautiful!
We are in Modesto, asked my husband if Auburn is too far for eggs. He said probably not. Amazing man.

Hey all Northern Calif people, who live between Modesto and Auburn ---

Who wants to help fill our incubator for a NYD hatch with the kiddos? We will take almost any large fowl eggs except for random mutts (projects are okay). We have the barnyard mutt variety at our house already

Good EE's are fine though, especially if they will lay a blue egg. Our blue egg-laying EE's consistently lay great big eggs and we really like them!

PM me. Thanks!

I called Urch a while back as I need Dark Brahma's. I'd go in on chicks. I have one pair but the pullet really needs some competition. Do you think 5 chicks straight run will net me a pullet or two? If they are going to you, I have no problem going to Woodland for pickup.
Thanks

I will put you on the list!
