Meet my new 10 month old LF black Langshan trio that I purchased from Sherry Parker! I'm so excited to add them to my breeding program! They have wonderful tail spreads and a gorgeous beetle green sheen to their feathers! Sherry got her stock from Joe Oakley and from James Smith who is the AZ breeder that I wanted birds from! Monet loves naming our birds. The cockerel is Shang and the two pullets are Mulan and Lucy Lu. :)

Petrock! how pretty are they! I just love my langshans, are they laying yet?

Thank you, everyone! They are very big birds and hopefully Shang will stay docile. I sure wouldn't want to be attacked by a bird that big! Sherry didn't think that the pullets were laying yet but my friend found 3 eggs in there hoop yesterday. They are separated and no other birds can access their space so the eggs had to be from them. Unfortunately, Jenny didn't keep them separate from the other eggs she collected so I don't know if they are fertile. I just brought all the eggs home and I'll set them to see. It will be easy to tell them apart from the Bresse and RIR chicks.

I am up to 59 chicks hatched from what I originally planned as a small test hatch. Might get up to 61 or 62. There are 3 eggs left that have pipped during the night. I will try to post some pics later:)

And I am sooooo happy it's finally raining!

Trisha
