I hope some of them hatch! I removed two clears yesterday. It does look like two may be doing something. I plan on collecting more to set next Friday. I did see one of the hens squatting for him so hopefully they will be fertile next time.
me too. my crele and emp eggs have been fertile. This batch of Olive eggers appears to be too. just set a bunch of black and hoping they will be too.

Hey ron idk if u saw my post earlirr (several pages back) the eggs i set are 4 days from lockdown and are living and forming correctly (i hope) im not sure of my EE egg though. short of candling or just lettingit go into lockdown is there anyway i can tell if that particular egg is living? (They are all day 14 and i can see movement in ghe other two)

It gets very hard at the end and they often die during lockdown. I set them if they look like something is in there and they do not smell.

Current hatch is running at 97.7 degrees for hatch. When the get towards the end, a bit lower temperature is good for them.

I hope to have a couple hatched soon!

I hope the rest of your shipped chicks make it and get along well with the ones you are hatching!

The eggs are the 19 out of 24 set Delaware egg that I am hatching for @capayvalleychick

I hope they wait until tomorrow to hatch....Of course they will hatch at 2 in the morning. This time the Genesis is sitting on my Bathroom sink.

It could be a long night but exciting!
Yay!!

Newspaper can cause spraddle leg. and i have two actually the temp is 94-96. we never had issues with our LF chicks
I thought spraddle legs was a problem after hatching and only a few days of age? Or can they develop it later? I have never had that happen with my orps. They only hatched or early day spraddled

I candled the eggs in the bator tonight, and found something weird. -They are on day 15- One of the orp eggs has 2 dark spots (like the black eye ball spots), with flickering movement between them. I figure there is something majorly wrong, and I would think it was already "done" but that movement is just..... weird. I didn't see anything else moving inside, and it wasn't moving because I was moving the egg.

I know it's hard to see, but you can see the two black dots (not moving). In between the dots I can see the movement. Any guesses on what's going on?
