ok i saw this on the brinsea for putting in 28 eggs. VERY interesting. But with getting 28 eggs in, i'm wondering about air flow and humidity staying correct. Are these eggs packed in TOO tight?

Wonder if they'd all roll their eyes at the crazy chicken mom/grandma's or agree that it's actually fun  Last night my 12 yr old had to work really hard with me!  I was (AM) so thankful for her help!

I'm sure our families would agree that it's better for THEIR sanity that all the crazy chicken ladies don't live closer together.

I'm sorry. Waiting is terrible! Was there movement when you candled before lock down? If there was movement, don't give up hope! There have been some on this thread who have had chicks hatch a couple days late.

I moved 45 egg into the hatcher this morning. Should I go check for pips? I know there will not be any but I still find myself checking.....

I check a lot too. like days before. on the ducks my family heard me yell at them "Just hatch already!" And that was 2 days before their due date!

all i know is there is no way 28 black penedesenca eggs would ft in there.

The first part of incubation does not need as much oxygen. The Octagon has a lot of air flow so the egg will be fine, unless most of them develop. Could you imagine hatching that many in there?

fertility test checked out for the Partridge group. I will start collecting for you on Saturday, incubate them Thursday to Friday night and ship them to you on Saturday.
