I still have 19 that are alive, but that doesn't mean they will hatch. I am so nervous after what happened with your hatch!Have you peeked at the eggs Chickee? I hope you have a great hatch, if I order more I will only do the d'Anvers and run it drier that the first time.
You got that rihgt...mine sleep in the nest boxes a lot.I put a single roost in my coop, however some of my hens choose to roost on the side of the pallets that the coop are made from. VERY thin board so it can't be good for their feet, however there's really no way of stopping them from roosting where they want to.
Yep...looks like a roo to me too. That is a "boy" posture if I have even seen one!
Sure.....why not!.. Out of 6 mottled chicks that hatched the one I still have turned out to be a pullet!I have decided that phoenix feather different than most breeds. I have 2 that have a good start on tails, it's to much to hope for that I got a trio out of this hatch, my luck doesn't run that way.
