I guess once I hatch eggs from the porcelain pair I will know for sure :D    From what I have read, I should get lavender and porcelain out of my lavender pullet x porcelain rooster. I really love the lavenders :love

Porceline is self blue cream yes? If so you should get less cream and more lav with 1 parent with cream genes. Porceline has to be bred back to both to get the right combos. This is one reason it may never become an accepted color.

Here are my Easter pics.

Almost a week old now. Not sure what to make of things.

The 3 week olds checking out the eggs
They are very fluffy and curious.

Yes, and I did get one lavender rooster chick out of Catdance's porcelain pen, so most of the chicks out of the lavender pullet most likely will be lavender I would think.

He "was" very pretty. Unfortunately he developed a crossed beak, which contributed to him getting sick. I took him to UC Davis to be euthanized and tested and the results came back that he sucked alfalfa into his lungs and it caused pneumonia. :(

This is what he looked like~

This comment brought to you by chickens:101 ridiculous ways to die. You can see cream all over there. Poor boy pitty he decided to huff grass :(.

Of the major manufacturers of Layer feed which would you recommend. I'm not sure about organic or not. I know I have some time before they switch over from starter grower and Ill probably have to do something about the orps being younger and lay later but Ill figure it out. Just trying to prepare a bit.
