California - Northern

Anyone feel that 3.4 last night? It was centered about 10 miles from us.

I have only felt one earth quake where I live. That was in the 90s. There was one that I should have felt in the 70s up by Mt. Lassen, but I was riding in a pickup at the time. It was shaking more than the earthquake.

Hey Molly. Do you have any ideas on how to use those wire brooder/coop things indoors in the garage. I was thinking of making like a big bed of hay to set the brooder on to catch the poop. And then make like a arena around the brooder and hay so they have a little yard to come out of the brooder to. Think that would be ok?

After what you paid, those guys would be free ranging in the house with me.

Good luck with them!

My latest hatch (Tuesday night), three of these.

One more egg to lock down on Tuesday, then nothing but a bunch of slow cooking eggs until the 24th

Good Morning everyone! :) It is COLD this morning! I forgot to turn the heat on last night and woke up freezing my socks off! Got the fire going around 430. I got "THE" call from usps around 545! Bielefelders made a safe landing! I don't think I've ever driven that fast to the post office before Lol :D Wow they are beautiful! Im really impressed already. They are very pretty little chicks. Very talkative. They look a little younger that i expected them to be. Maybe about 4 weeks old now. Hey Molly. Mike, I would keep those little cuties warm. I think it's to cold for them to go in the coops you got from me. Not sure how cold your garage gets? They look just like the cream Legbars? Molly

We live in Middletown and get small earthquakes daily. This was the first one that was significant. Pretty cool :)

OR4-hmom is thinking about showing chikens at Humbolt or Red Bluff.

Zooweemama shared that FBCM Roo Gary is doing a wing dance. Warnings that this could lead to aggression were posted. Amy Beth is going to make sure Gary knows who is top Roo at her place!

Cherycohen is looking for 4-H kids to help at her place. They would learn a lot there, so I hope this works out for her!

Chiqita had an incubator disaster! Eggs fell out of the trays! Some were saved but there will be another trip to TJs after the problem was fixed with a bungee cord. I bet there is Duct tape in there somewhere too..

Sometimes people think domestic quail can live in the wild. debs-flock convinced one person not to do that and to take over a flock for his kid! Chiqita could not convince someone not to release quail...Sad....

The NYD Hatch along thread shanghaied me into massacring writing a digest for their thread! I am exhausted

PetRock did not find her white Polish chicken
