California - Northern

Such a yucky day today. (I'm feeling better, WOOT!) The main reason was that it sprinkled off and on, it was breezy and SUPER cold.

I agree with Ron. Your chickens are very pretty together.
That tree in the background of your third picture is magnificent! I would have loved to climb that tree when I was a kid. Shoot... I'd probably still climb it now. That looks fun Lol.
I like your landscaping too!
More or less....
Very nice pictures lawatt!!!

thanks!! it is a truly giant oak tree, the biggest on the property:

I'm afraid my "style" of landscaping is only benign neglect, but the chicklets are helping by eating as many thistle seedlings as they can find...

The only thing I know of is to not use acv with metal.

Every 5th or so poop is a weird one for them. That one can look brown to red. Watch them to see if they start looking like they hurt on the inside.

If you want to use a pour on wormer, you can use Pour on ivermectin. Whichever you choose, I would worm them and then think again about using corid.

I gave them Wazine just because it was all they had. I have the corid as well which I was going to start using tomorrow.. I use my ACV in the plastic waters . I emptied the metal waters today when I gave them the wazine. tomorrow I will start using the corid in the water for 5 days and will just use the plastic. Maybe I should hold off on the ACV for a few days.

my flock was SO happy to have a day outside of their coop/run today, despite the light rain that kept falling intermittently -- and i took the opportunity to get some updated photos: everyone preening the sussex girls, whose faces are starting to get quite red now maggie the EO basque, hanging out with speedy the crested cream legbar looking for a spot in the preening line-up amelia, the CL x penedesenca cross -- i noticed today that her ears are the same color as the other CLs, wondering if that will influence her egg color? what color ears to pure penedesencas have? and daisy the australorp, looking suspicious as usual but also *gorgeous*, she has an amazing green sheen...
You sure have a beautiful flock... A little of everything. They look so nice a healthy :)
