also sold at Frizelle Enos, which is where i'm usually shopping -- they have a crumble, but also a kind (i'm sorry, i don't know the name) that is more grain-y -- in the photo at the top of this webpage, it looks like the scoop on the right, might be their "layer all natural 16%"?

was just curious if anyone else has used them?
I have fed the Bar Ale layer feed to my flock in the past. It's a basic, traditional type, commercial chicken feed.
Bar Ale is a long time, established company that caters to traditional farmers and ranchers. Their feeds are balanced nutrition. Nothing really wrong with them or exceptional. My birds did fine when eating their feed. At that time, their prices were affordable, not over priced.
Personally, I don't like some of the additives in their feeds- like mineral oil, but that's my personal preference.
I noticed that they have added some new feeds, natural, soy free etc. These still have the mineral oil (petroleum product), so that's why I don't use them.
You can do as I did, click on the label information, research the ingredients, and decide if their feed is of interest.
They are a well respected company that has been around a long time, so I would trust that their feed is going to be a balanced source of nutrition.
