So yesterday someone told me "all you want to talk about is chickens" oh dear maybe I'm too obsessed?

See Elizabeth, that is a great excuse for us all to get together more for "chicken chat" with like-minded addicts!
I just walked into my bedroom and glanced out the window. My first thought..............how'd the turkeys get out? Nope, a flock of 31 full grown turkeys walking by. Of course when I opened the door to the deck they all moved to the far side of the lawn, but it was quite a sight.

I think he was trying to entice her into the next generation............LOL

Deb

Deb, what a gorgeous sight to look out upon. I'm green with envy, adopt me?

Quote: I have been told to watch the chicken talk too. Sometimes I can tell--When their eyes glaze over a bit I know it is time to talk about something else...

Love the card!

Haha Mark has pointed that out to me, too.

I keep meaning to share this, it's a card we found at Target. Hope the language doesn't bother anyone! If it does I can delete it :)

I liked it so much we brought it home and framed it

Ron, there is someone at my work who talks incessantly about her daughters, after awhile it's like "who cares!" I wonder if I'm to that point yet hahaha

Yay again!!! Where did you order from?

Ok peeps! This is a little ridiculous..... I have to go get ready to go to Disneyland. I am on here instead! I mean really???!!! Who does that? Pay for a vacation and then sit reading a chicken forum?!?!!
Sounds like you need a smart phone so you can check the chicken forum on the go!

Years ago my husband forgot my birthday and it seemed like every year he had some excuse why he couldn't get me a present, "You always have the checkbook", "If I use my debit card, you'll see it online", yada yada yada....so one year I got myself a present, wrapped it up, signed his name to it and spent a LOT of money on it! I told him about a week before my birthday that he'd lost his privileges to buy me a present and so I would "help" him from now on. Every year I start tormenting him with how much he must love me, that I can't believe he's spend SOOOOOOOOOOO much money on meeeee!!!!!! He begs me to give him another chance! Swears he won't ever forget again! But it's really better this way, I'm not continually disappointed, he's not stressed over what to get me and really, it's fun. Neither one of us would change it now. After 34 years of marriage you figure out how to keep the peace!

I love this! I read this to my hubby who typically gives pretty lousy presents in an effort to motivate him to work harder! We'll see when June comes around...

I joke that I have Chicken Asperger Syndrome... here's a definition:
Asperger syndrome (AS), also known as Asperger's syndrome orAsperger disorder, is an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) that is characterized by significant difficulties in social interaction, alongside restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior and interests. (translation, extreme talk about chickens!)

LOL! Some people talk about their dogs/cats or whatever but it's chickens all the way here!

That is great news!

Yes, treat again 10 days after the first treatment--gets ones that hatched from eggs. ACV is given in water. Do not use metal with it, use plastic. Something like 1 TBL per Gallon. I just pour some in.

Look for an Organic brand with the Mother in it.

Should I mix the ACV with the garlic water? or have 2 separate water bowls? The "mother" in it?? what the? :)

Please look at this short video & tell me what you all think I have :) I was told that the mama was Ameraucauna/ Brahma xix, fertilized by Ameraucana roo. My first hatch I got 50%!! Not bad for a homemade bator!! So here are my babies <3 Bebe is the biggest & it's only 15 days old, but HUGE!!... they all hatched between 2/13-2/19. Anybody know what they are (besides chickens) & if anyone has an idea on who may be a boy/girl?
Thanks guys!!! I have better individual pics, but they don't like to be still :)
