California - Northern

These black ones are a combo of mine and some I swapped Ron for (his were Marans and OEs)

One of my own Easter Eggers: Buff Orp X EE. Pretty little red head with face muff (can't see it very well here though-I have a couple of these so cute!)

I'm thinking Pullet, yah? Not sure though. They are 6 weeks old now I think?

My Buff little EE on the left and an OE from Ron (via someone else) on the right. My 4 year old adopted her and she has been named Angel. I know she is a pullet. SO excited!
How does one get such a pretty AND white OE? I need to know!

Pullet or cockerel? This little one has me utterly stumped. It walks very tall, stands kind of like a Leghorn. But has next to no comb or wattle at 6 weeks? Whatever it is - it's coloring is awesome. This one is from your batch, Ron.

The EEs would have red spots on the wings if they were cockerels. Those are very pretty pullets, the white one and the golden one. EEs are often very pretty.

Nice pictures everyone!

I have 22 barnevelders, 3 welsummers and 1 black sex link in lockdown. Can't wait! Only one looks questionable, the rest look perfect!
Just let me know when you are ready for the Brabanter Eggs....

I gave a friend a couple of the chicks I got from you. Looks like she got an OE pullet and what appears to be a full Marans cockerel. I managed to get 3 cockerels out of the black chicks from you and are rehomed. I have 2 more I think and they will be rehomed soon as well. I'm totally thrilled that between my hatch plus the V Day I got from you- it looks allllmost 50/50 for gender. BEST odds I have ever gotten! Thrilled. :D

The higher the hatch rate the closer to 50% boys to girls you should get.

Well for some of us.

HA!! If anything in my bator hatch- I will def keep track of gender split odds.

On a side note- I am not a part of the great shipping experiment but I DID want to share that I just shipped off 15 duck eggs. Packed with air popped popcorn and eggs individually wrapped air cell up. I made sure NONE of the eggs touched. Shipping was $16 from USPS. Packing was the cost of 18 of those bubble wrap squares. I will let you know if they all arrive in good shape. I am going to ask her if she will take pics of the box closed, opened let me know if each arrived ok. I will share a pic of it in a sec...

Each egg is wrapped in a piece of bubble wrap. Bottom piece taped, air cell up and top left open. Popped popcorn alllllll around- the bottom, then the eggs, in between the eggs and on top. I figured this would allow some airflow and the packing can be fed to her chickens. hehe
