MossyOakLane: I am glad for you. Please do share what you are interested...me not so much but a bunch of these nice people know a bunch of other nice people and between them all...well they just might be able to find what you are looking for.

Sounds Good. :) I almost alway have them....

and this may be a case of be careful what you wish for... one of my SPPRs has now apparently been on the nest ALL day, puffs up when i try to look at the eggs under her, and pecks at my hand... hmm.

a couple of minutes later, edit: yep, i gathered some of the eggs from under her (left her sitting on 3 fake ones), and she's pulled a bunch of feathers from her underside, so it looks like i now have TWO broodies, one on day 6 and the other... hmm, whether to just hatch some of my own mutt eggs (SFH x various), or get some others?

When do I re worm? Does it have to be two weeks after the initial worming or can I stretch it out a bit longer to get my egg stores back up. Thanks!

Thanks!
Good luck and Gratz!
Awesome! I am in Sutter County myself and look forward to getting to know you all. :)
I am in Yuba City as well. I don't need anything right now but may in the future. Do you or your family have need of oranges and lemons? Either fresh or dehydrated?
That's a grand place to start! I am the same way with too many projects going at once, for instance I went to TSC for a rabbit hutch and wound up with ducklings, and now have goslings on the way! Which means no rabbits till the babies are out of their hutches lol.
My mom and dad have lemon and orange trees. We have tons of both, thank you though.. I am always looking for good recipes!

10 to 14 days for the second worming treatment.

I hope you get back to eggs soon!

Too bad you are not closer--The Hens are laying them faster than I can sell them or use them.

Oops I see you answered that question already while I was composing this post. I have Lovely fluffy Australorps and my Uncle has a Buff Orp and I just put some of their eggs in the bator today. They were both covered by different barn yard mix roos and provided I don't mess up this hatch I will be brooding them to six weeks if they hatch. If we get some I will post pics and if you like what you see let me know.

Thanks Ron, I wish so too but don't worry about me. We have 36+ saved up so that should cover us for a little while and I have a colleage from whom I can buy a few dozen to get me through the drought. NO STORE EGGS. My 22 year olds (yes you read that right, 22 year olds) wanted to color eggs for Easter so I did break down and buy some white ones for them but next year I will have white egg layers so there will be no need for that nonsense.

This post is for chiqita! This is a guessing game called "Who's your daddy?" (Also, who's your mommy because almost all of these hatched out when we weren't looking!) These are the 7 chicks that we hatched from eggs that Shantih gave us. They are from her mixed flock before she separated them for breeding. I love trying to figure out what they are! (Please excuse my photography. There are so many good photographers on this thread that it is intimidating to post pics!)

This black chick came from a Marans egg so I'm guessing your Marans roo is the daddy and he is pure FBCM? He has two toes that are webbed/fused. I am thinking about separating them this weekend. I think that he is a he and I might not do it because he is destined for the dinner table if he's a boy.

This tiny Icelandic mix chick hatched from a tiny white egg (pullet egg?). Do you think that your Cream Legbar Orlando is the daddy?

This reddish chick hatched out of a light brown egg (or possibly a blue egg). It has lightly feathered legs & feet. Do you still think that your silkie roo Flame could be the daddy? What about the mommy? He/she is a big, fat, fluffy chick just like all the other ones except for the Icelandic mix.

This yellow chick also hatched out of light brown or blue. Do you think that Orlando is the daddy?

Then I have 3 chipmunk marked chicks. The first one has muffs & beard and the other 2 look almost identical except one has a sharper V on her head.

Chick w/muffs & beard. EE??? Orlando again???

Same chick as above.

The two twins. Orlando and ??? There were 2 blue eggs that hatched. Could these be pure Cream Legbars???

Same chicks as above.
