Confession....I recently realized I do not like to eat chicken eggs. Not the store ones, not mine. I do like duck eggs however (the chewier texture does not gag me lol). I have also learned my family mostly prefer duck eggs. So we have chickens...mostly because we want them I guess at this point haha! How weird are we? We just enjoy their presence, I sell off their eggs and buy more feed. haha!

Ha Ha! My hubby is way more into eggs than I am. I have to be in an "egg mood" I guess. Weird is a good thing. Normal is just a setting on your dryer

WE had some Canadian geese land here a few weeks ago. Horrified I saw my gander mating the female Canadian. I am praying the male Canadian did NOT mate my female because her eggs are in my bator. No frankengeese- just say NO. ahhh! We have Africans so we joke nervously that we will end up with Afri-Canadians. :|

Here's a noob question for everyone:

Do 3-4 week olds loose feathers? I've found a few feathers in the chicken playpen. Are they pulling them out of each other? Is this normal?

Also catch Emmet our Ameraucana Roo panting once in awhile, but randomly maybe a couple times a week if that. Just hot?

Um, not that I can tell. Brawny the English Oprington has some bald spots but I think that's just cuz her feathers are finally coming in rapidly.
