We are in the mountains, an hour from the center. We felt it and heard the rumble.

anyone hear where it was centered and how big? I am on granite so must of been a decent one.My mom was very close in Shingletown. She felt it fairly strongly but all is well there.
I totally just sat down to pee and it shook the whole toilet! lmbo! Next time I'll just hold it and see to the animals first. I have never ever ever in my life been on a toilet that moved. Like ever. That was the weirdest thing ever.

I am trying not to laugh because I know earthquakes can be terrifying, having experienced AND worked in 9-1-1 Centers during both the Loma Prieta and Northridge earthquakes..... But ... that's a rather vulnerable position and location in which to "ride out" an earthquake.I totally just sat down to pee and it shook the whole toilet! lmbo! Got home from a BLARG day at work.
Trudged out to feed the critters.
Checked my two broodies. Found a smashed eggshell under one, but no chick. Darn. Just the way my day's going.
Gathered eggs, & decided to check on the broodies again. Heard the faintest peep....
Hm. I picked up the broody that had the smashed shell. Nothing.
Then her wing peeped. Was so surprised I almost dropped broody, chick & all. She had tucked the chick tight under a wing.
She's got 4 more buckeye eggs under her, so I'm hoping for more by morning.
My day is much better now.![]()
That is so funny!! I'm glad your ok.![]()
At first I thought my head was being funny. Then I realized the whole thing was moving. I startled a bit and looked behind to see if someone was shaking the toilet- now I know that sounds funny but frankly a moving toilet is not normal anyway so my brain was just not firing on all cylinders with the whole thing. Then I froze...do I get up...do I stay on...LOL My kids thought it was awesome. Made our recliners move, light cords sway- lol.
