Do these girls look close to laying?
Your older hens who have molted and your pullets may not start laying until spring when the days start getting longer. The days are just getting too short and unless you have lights in your coops you might not get eggs. If my pullets start up by oct, they generally lay through the winter without added light. If they were hatched just a couple of weeks too late and don't start by November then they sometimes wait until spring. I don't have added lights in my coops. Added light might jump start your older hens and get them laying again. Coops that don't have a lot of natural light, long periods of cloudy weather and stress ( even simply moving to a new coop)can also cause hens and pullets to stop laying or not start up until the days get longer. Not as much of an issue if you have artifical added lights. My coop that faces east gets more morning light is my most productive and hens lay better in that coop. If they are in my west facing coop that doesn't get as much light, they can sometimes stop laying or delay starting up due to lack of natural light between the months of oct and feb. Trisha

They can be so sneaky. Good luck with the rest of the eggs.

I've got 6 peeping chicks inside eggs, but no external pips yet. C'mon babies!
